These are a few other things I missed listed in order of importance.

GoArmySports.com released the post spring media guide. (pdf)

Army schedules Buffalo
in 2014,2016,2018 and 2020 to extend the short Buffalo series. The schedule addition comes after they scheduled Miami (Oh) for games in 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2018.

Speaking of schedules...

For whatever reason I like to see is the 2010 football schedule on the front page of the site

There's a facebook contest to win tickets to the North Texas game. If you decide to enter this contest let me know and I'll vote for your photo.

Also the New Meadowlands Stadium has their events schedule up and despite the curoius wording Army/Rutgers will indeed be the first college football game in the New Stadium.

You will note that tickets for that game are currently on sale while Notre Dame /Navy tickets seem to be in much higher demand.

This Lacrosse Stuff is Fun

The news came in tonight from Syracuse: Army Lacrosse stunned Syracuse in OT to advance in the NCAA tourney. I don't expect this site to become a lacrosse blog any time soon, but since I mentioned it before, I'll follow the story up. The entirety of my lacrosse knowledge is just enough for me to know that Army's OT win at Syracuse is a significant upset.

Syracuse fans are coping without playoff lacrosse. It's heart wrenching to read the eloquent writeups Orange::44 had posted about the lacrosse NCAAs only to see the Orange crash out in round 1.

Over at Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician the Syracuse mood is understandably subdued.

I was getting ready to write an article about why Syracuse folks who aren't lacrosse fans should be rooting for the Orange this May. The crux of my argument was that men's lacrosse is the one sport where Syracuse is "the evil empire." We are the Yankees. We are Manchester United. We've always been good but these days we're downright great.

Between the "Army Sucks" t-shirts featured over at TNIAAM and the Orange's status as the top LAX program in the NCAA I am delighted by this result.

Maybe Ric Flair can remind us one more time of the heights achieved by that Syracuse team...

Next up for Army Lacrosse is Cornell, a participant in last year's title game. That game will be played on Sunday and aired by the ESPN family of networks. Check out Danny Wild.com for more Army lacrosse coverage.

and take it out with one last word from Ric Flair...
