Mid-week post-game

I hate it when both Pitt and Army lose. It's two years in a row now that I can confideltly make the statement that Army would probably beat Pitt if the teams played this year. Usually I have to wait until November for Pitt's season-ending disappointment - this year I can write them off early.

Which brings us to Saturday's Army/Miami game.

Woeful tackling and the tactic of playing ten yards off the receiver on your own ten yard line gave up costly scores in the first half. Down the stretch it was Miami's 3rd down touchdown pass in the 4th quarter that put the Black Knights behind for good. A very frustrating loss considering Miami was a team ripe for the picking. The Black Knights of the Hudson weren't over their head - they just need to learn how to put together a full 60 minutes of football.

Sal has a good look back.

Here's your Army/Miami story, stats and highlights.
