Just hitting a few links applicable to Army/Ball State. There are some fun and interesting new places to find a good read on Army.

Rich Ellerson's presser quotes came out a few days ago. Some thoughts on opponents dictating where Army's offense goes with the football, Geoff Bacon and Angel Santiago.

I love it when the news outlets of non-rivals take an historical tack on a game. Here, BSU Daily News looks back at the golden era of the series - 2011's 21-48 BSU win. This one examines the young series through the lens of familiarity with the offense as helpful- but not really.

“It’s no question it helps [Ball State has had success against Army],” Lembo said. “Our kids believe in what we’re doing, which is half the battle.”

But Ball State will line up defenders Saturday afternoon that haven’t faced Army’s triple-option before, which presents its own challenge. The inexperience means some players will have to be aware of Army’s cut blocking in its offense.

BallStateSports.com has a video preview of Saturday's game.  Talk about Army and the Army game starts at about 22:00 of the long-ish video production.

At this point of the year Army is tied at 18th in the nation in rushing yards per game. Plenty of time left to improve their standing there.

Here's a Ball State blog Ball U Football Blog. BUFB is the newest addition to my eastern football blog links to the left.
