Army 3-4

So the recap links are pretty much all about one guy.

Terry Baggett with Army's single game rushing record.

Baggett’s performance broke Michael Wallace’s mark of 269 yards set in 1999 and marked the first 300-yard rushing performance for Army, which debuted in 1890.
Terry Baggett gets mention in the Washington Post for being Army's first 300 yard man.

That wasn't the only first #31 produced with his big day rushing. Terry Baggett earned Army's first Walter Camp player of the week honors.

Walter Camp wasn't the only accolade that 31 earned this week either... Phil Steele placed Baggett, Bobby Kough and Shaquille Tolbert on his 1st team all-independent squad.

Baggett, Baggett, Baggett - first, first.... oh yes.... Army is first in Rushing Yardage per game, and Baggett was the first player this year to notch a 300 yard game.

I find it funny that I am still in awe of Terry Baggett's emergence - yet Coach Ellerson is positively over it.
“We run our offense. Obviously, you can see how productive the other guys were with the football as well. Angel (Santiago) probably had one of his lowest days in terms of production, and we know there is more there. We are going to run our offense, and we are not going to feature one running back.”

Temple blog Temple Football Forever has a blueprint for beating Army. Apparently it involves the previous coaching staff's game plan:

It’s all right there on what former Temple football coach Bobby Wallace used to call the “fill um.” Current Temple head coach Matt Rhule was in attendance that game but he can check the film if memory of how it was done escapes him.
Or he can ignore the evidence, do things his own way, and join Wallace in Alabama as an assistant Division III offensive line coach next season.
We’ll know if Rhule learned from his mistakes against Fordham and Idaho as early as the first quarter. Army is at a size disadvantage against a Temple offensive line that includes at least  two future NFL players in Kyle Friend and Cody Booth and quite possibly a third in Pete White.
If at least 12 of the first 15 plays are not runs, you can leave at that point and head to the parking lots because Temple will lose.

I don't agree with everything involved in that blueprint for Temple victory, but I haven't watched Temple play other than a little bit of the opener vs Notre Dame.

Army played Eastern Michigan onto ESPN's Bottom 10.... the Temple Owls are already there. This one mentions the revenge angle.

"All About Steve" Army might be looking for revenge when it plays at Temple on Saturday. Last season, former Owls coach Steve Addazio left Montel Harris in the game in the fourth quarter to pile up 351 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in a 63-32 rout.

Other Temple notes....  look at P.J. Walker their loser freshman QB.
“I was 1-9 as a freshman (in high school). We started out my sophomore season 0-4. That’s 13 straight losses I had as a two-year starter. Next thing you know, we lost maybe three games over the next two seasons. Losing happens. You just don’t want to get accustomed to it.”
 Good luck with that P.J.

A wiser man than myself called the Eastern Michigan game ancient history back on Monday; regardless here is the Army/EMU story stats and highlights.
